Adding the Zephyr 3 Rover Antenna option to TerraSync
This document is intended to provide a step-by-step approach to adding the Zephyr 3 Rover to the Antenna drop-down list within the TerraSync application.
For this procedure to be successful, two file attachments must be added to the device. The first is labeled ReceiverAntenna.ini and the second is TerraSyncAntenna.ini. Make sure these files are available before beginning the following process.
Connect the device to the computer using a USB cable and make sure that Windows Mobile Device Center is open and indicating Connected.
1. Open File Explorer and locate your device under This PC. See Figure 1.

2. Navigate to the hard drive of the unit and select Program Files/Common Files/Trimble/Config. This directory contains the .ini files for TerraSync.
3. Delete two files from this directory. The first is labeled ReceiverAntenna.ini and the second is TerraSyncAntenna.ini.
See Figure 2 for clarification.

4. Copy and paste the new ReceiverAntenna.ini and the TerraSyncAntenna.ini into the Config directory.
5. Restart the device.
6. Open TerraSync.
7. Navigate to Setup.
8. Select Logging Settings.
9. Select the “Settings Icon” next to Antenna Height.
10. From the Type: drop-down menu, choose Zephyr 3 Rover.
