Installing Windows Mobile Device Center
Download Windows Mobile Device Center. This file can be downloaded from the link provided below.

Please follow these instructions carefully.
To install Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows 10 Operating System:
- Download Windows Mobile Device Center, open and extract the
folder.
- Right-mouse-click on the file and select Run as Administrator.
- The driver update for Windows Mobile Device Center will install first, then Windows Mobile Device Center. If Windows Mobile Device Center does not install automatically, click on the start menu, and locate Windows Mobile Device Center, then open. This will finish the installation process.
After installing Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) on the Microsoft Windows 10 Operating system, you will need to run WMDC-fixes-for-Win10.msi.
Download WMDC Fixes for Windows 10. This file can be downloaded from https://frontierprecision.com/frontier-mgis-support-downloads/.
To
install WMDC Fixes for Windows 10:
- Download WMDC Fixes for Windows 10, open and extract the folder.
- Right-mouse-click on the file WMDC-fixes-for-Win10.msi and select Install.
- You will be prompted to restart your computer.
Once
everything is installed, connect your Trimble Mobile Device to your computer,
and Windows Mobile Device Center will open automatically. If Windows
Mobile Device Center does not automatically connect to the handheld a few
minutes after restarting the computer, on the handheld, go to
Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC. If the Enable Advanced
Functionality box is checked, uncheck it, and tap OK. Give the handheld a few
more minutes to reinstall the driver and attempt to connect. You can check to
see if everything has installed correctly by going to Apps & Features and
verifying that the 3 programs below are installed:
