The NMEA output from a Trimble R2 and R1 GNSS receivers are the only Trimble receivers compatible with iOS and Android. All GeoExplorer series (Geo 2005/2008/3000/6000/7X) and Pathfinder Pro series (ProXT/XH Pro 6H/6T) units from Trimble can output NMEA compatible with other Windows Mobile and Windows 7/8/10 devices. However, iOS and Android do not use the same Bluetooth formats/protocols that are used by Trimble in these products and cannot read the NMEA output of those receivers. The problem is not the NMEA output of the GNSS positions; rather, it is that the Bluetooth communication is not compatible.
